Water Damage - St. Petersburg Condominium

Water damage to this St. Petersburg condo had been standing for some time before a real estate agent discovered it during a showing. When water is allowed to stand for an extended period of time on engineered wood flooring, the moisture will penetrate through to the subfloor underneath. This condo had a porous concrete subfloor, and it would be a logical conclusion by the property owner to assume the subflooring was saturated. SERVPRO of NE St. Petersburg when called upon perform a complete assessment of the damages. They would use hi-tech moisture testing meters to determine, with certainty, that the subflooring was or was not saturated. If the subflooring proved to have high moisture content the engineered wood flooring would need to be removed to dry the subflooring. This would be accomplished with commercial air movers and dehumidifiers.
