The Museum of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg is Now Hosting Their "Color Riot!"
Museums are a fun way to get out of the house and take in some of the city's culture. The Tampa Bay area is the home to several museums that offer all sorts of different kinds of educational opportunities. During the entire month of January, the Museum of Fine Arts is hosting a special exhibit called "Color Riot! How Color Changed Navajo Textiles."
Those wishing to go to the museum to check out the new art display will get to experience the following:
- There are over 80 weavings from the 1900s available to view.
- The special exhibit started in December and will run through the entire months of January and February and then end in mid-March.
- The artifacts tell the story of the Navajo tribe using unique design techniques and lots of bright colors.
